Man this is amazing. Bowing Down
I really liked the older mix, but now with the addition of Kate's harmonising you really have perfected the tune.
Really lifts the vocal melody above the repetitiveness I mentioned before. Bowing Down

This is beautiful, the backup singers round it out nicely as ^ stated up there. It's a nice song too! Real nice production and songwriting too. So much talent crammed into one site I swear, this is real nice, I like the whole thing. The country rhythm and string sounds are superb. How was I to know indeed.
Bravo to all! Sun

This is an interesting collaboration for you Scott, but I have to say that you know how to recruit talented people. It's not quite my 'cup of tea', but it's still an interesting listen. It sounds like something that might be found in a Windham Hill Collection.....throw in a little Glen Campbell and the back up band for the Prairie Home Companion and you have yourself a song that mama would be proud of. The production is outstanding....I like how you featured the fiddle player less. And the backup vocalist is as cute as a button. I also like how the organist added a different flavor to the overall sound of this song. Did you ever see that movie that the Talking Heads did when they were in Texas? The movie was called True Stories. This song has a bit of the same taste as some of the songs in that soundtrack.
Good job to everyone involved

Wow very kewl...... music is very kewl... Violinist is very good and all instrumental parts are performed very well. Vocal pitch and diction are good. Lyrical content is good.
I'm not crazy about the melodic line in the beginning - to me it just seems a little too repetitive and some of the phrases seem a bit awkward. Later after the 1st chorus when there is more variation and changes occur more frequently - everything works and flows much better. So maybe just playing around a little more melodically (add a phrase variation or counter melody) in the beginning is the ticket.

Produced and mixed very well. I like this - very kewl and organic.

Kewl Tune - Good Job

Excellent job, Scott and Co. The violinist is superb!!!! The song sounds a bit like standard country music rather than folk, but that's just my opinion. The vocalist has a great resonating baratone delivery and he sounds a bit like Garrison Keillor. The production is outstanding as is usual for all your stuff, Scott.

where have you been!! the violin sounds brilliant, and the song is very good. Production work is outstanding!! great great job here Scott!!

This is beautifully produced. That keyboard sound really makes the whole song for me. I think the violin is skillfully played, but it seems out of place in this song. Maybe a guitar or piano might be a better idea for that role? Just a suggestion.
I really like this. I agree with Gene, the vocal melody seems a little repetitive at times, but not to the overall detriment of the song.
Great work in terms of composition, performance and production
